Von’s professional career in the arts and creative industries began in 1996 when she graduated in Graphic Design from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She has worked with international, profit and non-profit organisations such as The Arts house, NTU Museum, Cirque du Soleil, Books kinokuniya, Scoots, Marina Bay Sands, NTUC Health and Sentosa. She pursued her passion and interest in Arts that led her to study and graduate in both Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Huddersfield in 2010 and Master of Asian Art Histories in 2017 from LASALLE and Goldsmiths, University of London. Her research on History and Memory of Singapore Contemporary Arts provides a view into how narratives, in the form of historical texts, documents, personal accounts, and aesthetic representations had an effect on art, art histories and artists and how they played a part in understanding and shaping our ‘whole’ sense of self in the past, present and our desired future.
